STRUMMING
'ROUND (Reprinted by permission from The Resonator Volume XXIX Number 4 December 2001) The Rocky Mountain Banjos are right on the mark. The selections on this CD are mostly old favorites that everyone enjoys hearing with a few surprises that will become your old favorites. This group is known as a banjo band, however, they certainly are not in the mold of the usual banjo band. This group has been together for 12 years now and they have developed into a very professional sounding unit. I like the way they have added traditional jazz and other genres of music to the banjo band sound. I personally think they have done it very well. I would be interested in what you think. Drop me a line sometime! --Eddy Davis Eddy Davis' New Orleans Jazz Band, featuring Woody Allen, performs Mondays at the Cafe Carlyle, Madison Ave. at 76th St.; Eddy also appears Tuesday & Wednesdays at the Cajun, 8th Avenue at 16th Street in New York City.
